In late 2002, Patrick J. Collins, discovered that he had fallen deeply in love with a cat named "Coco". However, there was just one problem...Coco already had an owner!

Famed Etch A Sketch artist George Vlosich's portrait creation of Denver Nuggets' Carmelo Anthony. The video is a time lapse version; the actual time needed to finish the work was twenty-five hours. I find it particularly amazing because not only is it really good, it's done on an Etch A Sketch. I can't even manage a simple circle on one of those stupid things, and this guy does excellent portrait work with one. Amazing.

Regular readers of this blog will know that I am no fan of Tom Cruise. That being said, I'm not going to post links to his now-infamous Scientology videos (you can find them for yourself, I'm sure; they're all over the web). I will, however post this hilarious parody video starring Jerry O'Connell. I never thought much about him one way or the other prior to seeing this, but now, I actually like him. He should do more comedy! (Note: You don't need to have seen the original Tom Cruise videos to enjoy this parody; it's funny all on its own.)

I haven't been that much of a Christina Aguilera fan, historically. Her early stuff was just entirely not to my taste, and her "Dirrty" phase was a big turn off, plus she used to like to go to award shows looking like a Barbie doll, complete with bizarrely frizzed nylon blonde hair and strange clothes with holes slashed in them.

That being said, she's been changing her image and style for a while now and I really did like her song, "Beautiful". Recently, she's been producing stuff that I do quite like ("Candy Man" is terribly clever, I think), and she can really, truly sing, which is something I always like to see (I'm absolutely not a fan of overproduced, pitch-corrected, is-it-real-or-a-computer type stuff).

Today I saw this song and I'm blown away. I'm going to have to get her latest album. I'm just going to have to do it. Well done, Christina, you've converted me. (And congratulations on the birth of your baby boy.)

One of the most beautiful love songs ever written, in my opinion. First time I heard this song, I was in my early teens and I remember thinking, "Wow. Some day I hope I have someone I can sing this song to..." (As it happens, I did, but I don't think I've ever actually sung this song to him to the best of my recollection.)

Hearing this song makes me a bit sad now. I'm surprised by how deeply affected I feel by the death of Dan Fogelberg, but there you have it. I am.
