”The government’s stated aim of filtering child pornography is not something that many people could disagree with, but the point is it won’t achieve that end,” [Liberal MP Alex Hawke] told the Herald. ”People will still be able to access that illegal content … and it will do all sorts of other things such as slow down the internet, plus potentially there will be lists of things censored that we don’t really want censored.”

Just a reminder to Victorians that Senator Stephen Conroy is up for re-election this year. Vote below the line in the Senate and put him out of office, and send a message to the government about how you feel about this harebrained scheme to babysit all Australians using ineffective and draconian legislation.
