There’s always one…

Okay, I can be snarky, no question about that. And I can be (and frequently am) sarcastic, as well. I can also be quite oppositional when I’m in the mood to be contrary.
That being said, I generally do NOT single people out in a forum or other such situation just to target them and attack them every time they post something.

Not sure, then, why I seem to attract that sort of “forum stalker”.

Case in point, there’s a man at a site I frequent who has taken a disliking to me. According to him I post incessantly, I’m a “know it all”, and I need to get a hobby. Oh, and I’m sarcastic.

Posting frequently is called “participating in a community”, as far as I can see it, and I do know a fair bit about some things, and the things I don’t know anything about, I don’t post about. Hobby… I asked him what, precisely, he suggested I try. I informed him that at the time of his posting I had thirteen different windows open and was simultaneously working on five different projects (hint: it’s called multi-tasking), and I was just wondering when he thought I’d be able to work in a hobby and what might be appropriate… Fair cop on the accusation that I’m sarcastic. Duh. Should be obvious, dunno why he felt the need to point it out.

This guy hates me so much he’s even gone to the lengths of getting a second ID to post with, so he can follow up to anything I post and say something nasty about me. Not about what I say, but about ME, personally (I can’t swear the two IDs are one and the same, but certainly I’ve got good reason to think so, so I’m going to assume it’s true until I see evidence to the contrary).

Given some other posts he’s made, I’d say that the bottom line is that the guy doesn’t like women very much, and he especially doesn’t like smart women who (ohmighod!) stand up for themselves.

Small wonder that I’ve managed to get on his bad side, eh?

Oh, well, no matter. Eventually, he’ll get tired of bating me or he’ll go get himself a hobby…
