Goodbye 2005

♥ 31 December 2005 , Tags : , Comments Off

So this will be the last entry I make for 2005. I don’t really care one way or the other about artificial deadlines and dividers of time, really, but it is a good milestone sort of marker.
Only have three thoughts at the moment.
One: It’s BLOODY HOT!!!!
Two: The decade is half over already. What the hell happened there?!
Three: I guess I should mention that there are new desktop wallpaper downloads available in the Picture Gallery.
Andrew and I are doing our usual New Year’s Eve thing, which is sitting at home watching hired DVDs and eating junk food (chips, mostly, as my husband went out and totally forgot to get the other stuff I told him to get *roll eyes*).
Anyway. Here’s to the New Year.

IE Bug Lets Hackers Phish With Google Desktop

♥ 4 December 2005 , Tags : , Comments Off

A bug in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer browser gives phishers a way to scan the hard drives of Google Desktop users, according to an Israeli hacker. Because of a flaw in the way IE processes Web pages, a malicious Web site could use the attack to steal sensitive information like credit card numbers or passwords from the hard drives of its visitors.
(Yet another reason to switch to Firefox, if you haven’t already.)
