    About...

This is BonniNet. It is the personal vanity domain of Bonni Elizabeth Hall, known playfully as The Domain Goddess, i.e., me. It is an ongoing project, a continually evolving work of design, art, writings, research, and whatever else pops into my head to put here. It's big, rambling, and multi-faceted, because I happen to be big, rambling, and multi-faceted.

    Site Design

This swirly fantasy-grunge psychadelic theme was created in October 2007. I did all of it in Photoshop, Dreamweaver (although I do code by hand, thankyou), and TopStyle Pro.

I recommend viewing this site in Firefox at 1024x768 resolution (or higher). In fact, I really recommend Firefox for all purposes. It's fabu. Check it out. Seriously. It's safer, more secure, and customisable, and it's absolutely FREE.

Most of the site should be usable (or at least be readable) with most older browsers and at lower screen resolution (800x600), but no guarantees on the resolution thing. It should all work with the graphics turned off.

At no time will you be required to have a special plug-in to view or navigate these pages. None of these pages will make noise at you (although there are places where you may choose to listen to sound files if you want to). And you will not be asked (or expected) to download anything. Ever. I hate it when that happens.

All of the graphics within this domain are original (unless otherwise specifically indicated). They're all built out of pixels and electronic digits with the aid of some tools such as Photoshop, various image filters, one or more 3D imaging program, a scanner, a digital camera, a huge collection of fonts, a digital pen tablet, and years of digital design experience plus some basic higher education in Fine and Applied Art and Design.

    Site Content

This domain is rated PG-13 (or, by Australian standards, M for mature audiences), although most if it actually G rated. There is some very mild swearing here and there, there are some very strongly worded opinions expressed in very strong terms in a few places, and some of the subject matter of some of the sub-sites is strong stuff, to be sure. Occasionally I link to material that isn't work safe (always with a warning). But really, there's nothing here that would offend most people. And if you're someone who is easily offended, you shouldn't be here at all. I have a tendency to rattle cages, sometimes without even trying. Please don't say you weren't warned.

Because there are only 24 hours in a day, at least four of the sub-sites on this domain will probably be out of date and/or require maintenance at any given time. If there were 48 hours in a day and eight days in a week, I could keep everything perfectly up-to-date and polished and perfect, but, alas, I have to do the Four Letter Doubleyou Word (it ends with "k" in case you don't know which one I mean) and I have a family and a life (let me quote my former boss, Aaron, when I say, "I miss not having a life. I got a lot more done."), and several other domains to look after as well as this one. Web development on a vanity domain isn't exactly my life's priority these days, if you take my meaning.

Young enough not to care too much
About the way things used to be
I'm young enough to remember the future --
The past has no claim on me

I'm old enough not to care too much
About what you think of me
But I'm young enough to remember the future
And the way things ought to be
